The Universe
1. The universe exists. Is it eternal or did it have a beginning? It could not be eternal since that would mean that an infinite amount of time had to be crossed to get to the present. But, you cannot cross an infinite amount of time (otherwise it wouldn't be infinite). Therefore, the universe had a beginning.
2. Something cannot bring itself into existence. Therefore, something brought it into existence. What brought the universe into existence? It would have to be greater than the universe and be a sufficient cause to it. The Bible promotes this sufficient cause as God. What does atheism offer instead of God? The big bang? Even a big bang would have to have a starting point.
3. The universe cannot be infinitely old or all useable energy would have been lost already (entropy). This has not occurred. Therefore, the universe is not infinitely old.

Who made God?
Everyone knows that something can not come from nothing. So, if God is a “something,” then He must have had to come from something. Yet His word tells us He simply exists. He's always been here and will always be here. How can this make logical sense?
We know that from nothing, nothing comes. So, if there were ever a time when there was absolutely nothing, then something would have never come. But things did come. Therefore, since there could never have been absolutely nothing, something had to have always been. That thing that has always been is what we call God.

Words of Solomon
But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God,
and no torment will ever touch them.
In the eyes of the foolish they seemed to have died,
and their departure was thought to be an affliction,
and their going from us to be their destruction;
but they are at peace.
For though in the sight of men they were punished,
their hope is full of immortality.
Having been disciplined a little, they will receive great good,
because God tested them and found them worthy of himself;
like gold in the furnace he tried them,
and like a sacrificial burnt offering he accepted them.
In the time of their visitation they will shine forth,
and will run like sparks through the stubble.
They will govern nations and rule over peoples,
and the Lord will reign over them for ever.
Those who trust in him will understand truth,
and the faithful will abide with him in love,
because grace and mercy are upon his elect,
and he watches over his holy ones.
and no torment will ever touch them.

Majic Stones?
Have you ever wished that you had a stone that you could ask questions and the stone would reveal yes or no answers? Kind of like the old magic 8ball but the answers would come directly from God. Wouldn't that be great! That sure would make things easier down here on planet earth wouldn't it? No more confusion on controversial subjects and making decisions like, should I take that job or keep looking? Is it Gods will that I get into mission work?
Well did you know such an item certainly exists? It's called the Urim and Thummim and they were thought to be some type of gem stones that either lit up in certain sequences or simply lit up for yes or no. There is little information on their specifics but we know they were worn on the breastplate of the high priest. They are first metioned in Exodus pertaining to Aaron. I'm sure our Jewish friends have more information on these precious gems.
Check out these scriptures:
Exodus 28:30 (NIV)
30 Also put the Urim and the Thummim in the breastpiece, so they may be over Aaron’s heart whenever he enters the presence of the Lord. Thus Aaron will always bear the means of making decisions for the Israelites over his heart before the Lord.
Leviticus 8:8 (NIV)
8 He placed the breastpiece on him and put the Urim and Thummim in the breastpiece.
Numbers 27:21 (NIV)
21 He is to stand before Eleazar the priest, who will obtain decisions for him by inquiring of the Urim before the Lord. At his command he and the entire community of the Israelites will go out, and at his command they will come in.”
Deuteronomy 33:8 (NIV)
8 About Levi he said:
“Your Thummim and Urim belong
to the man you favored.
You tested him at Massah;
you contended with him at the waters of Meribah.
Pretty wild stuff huh!

Genesis 5
Genesis 5/ The genealogy from Adam to Noah
Adam, Seth, Enosh, Canain, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah
Now let’s look at what those names mean. You can find this in any study bible or on line bible.
Adam=Man
Seth=Appointed
Enosh=Mortal
Canain=Sorrow
Mahalalel=The blessed God
Jared=Shall come down
Enoch=Teaching
Methuselah=His death shall bring
Lamech=The despairing
Noah=Rest (Comfort)
Put it together!
Man is appointed mortal sorrow. The blessed God shall come down teaching. His death shall bring the despairing comfort.
Coincidence?
Does it really take a genius to be a believer?
You know, I’m the last to preach because I can lose focus on Him so easily when the storm comes and the waters get rough but it’s nice to be reminded of how much God is in control. I can’t grasp it but some how in one hand we have free will and yet in the other He is in full control of our lives. Think about it. From the time Adam left the garden to Noah’s birth was 1,056 years. You might say God likes to plan ahead. Do you think He just hoped that everybody would have a son and give them those names?

Divisible by 7
Let's say that in this article that I in advance mathmatically organized the total number of words used to be divisible by 7 evenly (no remainder). Not too hard right? How about all the letters too? O.K. Well let's keep going. All vowels divisible by 7? All consonants, all number of words that begin with a vowel, number of words beginning with a consonant? You still with me? How about all words that occur more than once be divisible by 7 evenly? Occur in more than one form, occur only in one form, nouns divisible by 7, only 7 words shall not be nouns, only 7 other kinds of nouns? Is this humanly possible (even with a computer)??? How about all names total are divisible by 7? How about male names by 7? How about total generations divisible by 7? I doubt any computer could do this if you tried and make it readable. Maybe. But if you can read Greek then thats exactly what happens in Matthew chapter 1 verse 1-11. Which just so happens to be the genealogy of Jesus Christ! Realize that the peoples names that make that genealogy lived over a 2,000 year time span. So come on people. If that were in any other writing or collection of writings, it would be on display in every museum in the world. The world would never shut up about it. But you won't hear a peep since it's in "the bible".
